Adopt-a-Trail for Rehabilitation and Maintenance
The volunteers and the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson are proud to announce the Adopt-a-Trail program to rehabilitate and maintain (R & M) the trails in the Hastings Trailway System.
The R & M program is designed for volunteers to identify and work on a trail or section of a trail that they choose, when and how they wish to work, according to their own schedule and capabilities. Anyone who has not adopted a trail will find a brief description the work needed and links to maps of the individual trails below.
Advice, technical assistance and equipment will be provided by the Department of Parks and Recreation as needed and on request.
Substantive work, such as laying gravel or rocks, placing erosion control measures or cutting limbs crossing a trail should be coordinated with Ray Gomes, through the Hastings Department of Parks and Recreation at (914) 478-2380 or adoptatrailway@hastingsgov.org
